The first hour
Photograph the stain and the ceiling for insurance. Move valuables, put a bucket under the drip, and call us; if water reaches lights or outlets, stay clear and switch off power at the panel only if it is safe to reach.

Roof age matters here. Insurance Business America (26 May 2026) reported that some carriers decline homes with roofs past 25 years.
